Extended Calibration Services
Calibration Data:
Calibration Data Sheets are furnished with every Flow Dynamics calibration, and a history is maintained at our facility to support your future calibration requirements. Standard flow meter calibrations consist of 10 data points spaced across the usable range of the meter. Specific points or flow ranges can be accommodated without additional cost. Data graphs are available upon request for all flow meter calibrations. Requested engineering units will be used on the calibration sheet supplied with the flow meter.
Research and Development Testing:
The Flow Dynamics laboratory and engineering staff are available for research and development testing. We can accommodate flow testing and comparison of products, as well as assist in the design of flow systems. Our non-reliance on a specific type of flow meter technique allows us to be subjective and nonbiased on any one technology.
Correlation and Extrapolation:
With the increasing use of hazardous fluids and gases in today's industry, accurate flow measurement is critical. Our engineering staff is able to simulate these dangerous fluids using mathematical correlation and fluid substitution. In addition, flow rates and pressures that are beyond our physical capability may be mathematically extrapolated in order to attain a valid calibration.
On-Site Calibration:
Flow Dynamics offers on-site calibration of equipment for customers unable to shut down process lines for extended periods of time. Calibration of in-line flow meters can often be accomplished in less than one day.
Flow Dynamics also provides on-site certification of primary and secondary flow calibration standards, such as bell provers, positive displacement liquid provers, and glass tube provers. Please contact our Sales Department at 480.948.3789 to find out more about this field service.
