Flow Measurement Training Class — Liquid
Class includes a thorough overview of flow meter selection, with advantages and disadvantages of each, as well as, guidelines for use. Methods and equipment necessary for accurate calibration are discussed in detail.
Course Objectives:
After completing this course, each student will understand the optimum selection and use of liquid flow meters. In addition, each student will understand how density and viscosity affect liquid flow meters. Each student will also know how to calibrate liquid flow meters using primary and secondary flow standards.
Prerequisites:
There are no prerequisites for this course. However, personnel with some flow measurement experience will benefit the most. We strongly recommend that people with little or no experience in flow measurement take the liquid flow course first before taking the gas flow course. Each student must bring a pocket calculator and be prepared to work practice problems during the class.
