Flow Dynamics offers liquid and gas calibration services meeting both end user and OEM production requirements. Common flow meters calibrated at our facility include: Turbine, Positive Displacement, Venturi/Nozzle, Rotameter, Orifice Plate, Thermal Mass, Laminar Flow Element, Coriolis, Ultrasonic, V-Cone, Vortex and Variable Area Flowmeter (VAM).

Flow Dynamics verifies flow meter accuracy by comparing your meter with a primary flow standard traceable to NIST. We utilize both liquid and gas flow media. Our expert calibration service takes into account key factors affecting flow meter performance, such as orientation of the meter, operating temperature and pressure, and the type of the flow medium and viscosity.

Calibration Capability:

Liquid Flow Measurement:

  • 0.0025 GPM to 1,250 GPM hydrocarbon
  • 0.75 to 1,000 centistokes viscosity
  • 0.01 to 30 GPM water

Gas Flow Measurement:

  • 0.001 to 10,000 SCFM on air
  • 0.001 to 1,000 SCFM inert gases
  • 0.001 to 400 SCFM flammable gases
  • Gas correlations for toxic gases
  • Partial vacuum to 2,500 PSIG

Primary Liquid Calibrators:

  • Uncertainty: ±0.025% to ±0.05% of reading
  • Repeatability: ±0.012% of reading

Primary Gas Calibrators:

  • Uncertainty: ±0.20% to ±0.25% of reading
  • Repeatability: ±0.10% of reading

Calibrations utilizing oil blends and Universal Viscosity Curves (UVCs) are available.
